As the popular saying goes, 'it is important to date your spouse in order to sustain a loving relationship.' Living in Birmingham,Alabama for the past eighteen years, we spent our time eating corn chips on the couch as the spark we once had for the wonders of our world floated away. It was time to re calibrate and look deep into the eyes of the city that we let become all too familiar, perhaps over cupcakes or fried green tomatoes. Summer 2014, the final chapter before we headed out for college was dedicated to discovering what makes Birmingham the Magic City.
